Jamie first received the gifts of yoga in 2001 when she took her very first class. She was amazed at how quickly she benefited from the therapeutic effects of connecting the Mind-Body-Spirit and how her newfound practice dramatically reduced her anxiety and increased her general feeling of calm. Over the next few years, she immersed herself in intense modules and training - from New Orleans to Austin - an experience which she felt transformed her into a new person with an even deeper love and appreciation for why she started this journey. She believes her practice mirrors her life and that the lessons are endless. She is continuously inspired to create an authentic space for her students to explore and connect to their own practice and feel good about themselves and what they can do.

Ashley is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200). She's been vacationing locally for years and in 2014, a wonderful lifestyle change brought Ashley, her husband and two dogs, to 30A as a permanent resident. It is here she began deepening her knowledge of yoga as a student, wanting to better understand postures, form and also a safe way to transition from one yoga pose to the next. Ashley began to realize much of her background in life coaching and people development could be used within the practice of yoga. Her own development shifted from only being a student to becoming a better student and a teacher. And in March 2016, she obtained her teacher certification. She started assisting and teaching Power Vinyasa Flow and Sculpt at Otium, in April 2016, and enjoys guiding students in their yoga practice, helping them find hidden potential and building confidence within their mind and body. Ashley brings lots of joy and fun to her classes.

Michlyn is a panhandle native. She grew up in Pensacola, but has had the opportunity to live in 17 cities in the last 20 years. Her travels took her to Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal, Zurich and Helsinki. In 2006, after one of her own children became very sick, she became an activist on the subject of the American food supply, our toxic environment and the alarming relationship between each of these and the health of our children. She developed a love for simplicity and Scandinavian design while living in Finland and the gifts of yoga and intentional living, somewhere along the way. These are the elements she brings with her in creating the space she calls Otium. Michlyn completed her yoga teacher training at Core Power Yoga in Chicago and she is committed to a holistic and individualized approach to health and well-being.
